The assignment for Chalmers student union included a new wordmark, approach to the 100-year old union emblem, identity guidelines and a custom tartan pattern design. The concept of tartan patterns and its interception of different colours became a metaphor for the dynamics of the large student union. A design framework was created based on a wide colour scheme, open source typefaces and clear guidelines for communication.
